WHO WE ARE

Paving the Way to a Brighter Future

218 Rotherham Squadron has made a postive difference to the lives of young people in Rotherham since it was founded all those years ago.

It is part of the South and West Yorkshire Wing of the national Royal Air  Force Air Cadet organisation and meets twice weekly at the Army Reserves Centre on Fitzwilliam Road. The motto of the squadron reads "Nulli Secundus" meaning "Second to None".

The squadron provides young people between the ages of 12 (Year 8) and 20 with a wide variety of challenges and opportunities which enable them to unlock their potential and make new friendships.

Currently the squadron consists of around 60 Cadets, 10 Cadet NCOs plus a number of trained Adult Staff.

The squadron prides itself on its core strengths of commitment and discipline, always fostering a keen sense of team spirit and loyalty.

If you want to play your part in the future of 218 Squadron then we want to hear from you.
